Description
The Service Sales Specialist is based in the UK Office in Manchester and is responsible for the sale of various service packages to customers. Other primary duties of this position include developing a sales & marketing strategy to achieve and secure the service budget with the emphasis on annual sales growth and margin.
• Achieve both monthly and annual sales and service targets.
• Complete and submit accurate monthly sales and service forecasts.
• Co ordinate service contract offering and maximise success rates.
• Utilise “Value selling” philosophy to increase area turnover.
• Data base development - ensure SMART is updated monthly.
• Generates new business opportunities.
• Contacts existing customers to offer various extended warranty packages.
• Updates customer databases regarding extended warranty sales.
• Back-up for service administrators.
• Co-operate with Service Manager in the development and implementation of tactical/strategic programs to drive the service business.
• Generation & reporting of DBS and strategic metrics.
• Updates customer databases.
• Customer satisfaction and new business opportunity surveys.
• Achieve end user specification to maximise price hence margins.
• Listen too and respond to customers enquiries – “the voice of the customer”.
• Develop and maximise business opportunities – target and achieve sales to new customers.
• Ensure all new instruments are supplied service contracts and non contract calibrations.
• Increase number and values of area quotations
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- • Good computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
- • Some light travel possible.
- • 2 years experience in a sales/service environment.
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- • Must be detailed-oriented.
- • Excellent telephone skills.
- • Must exhibit above average time management skills.
- • Must be able to prioritize effectively.
- • Must have excellent organizational skills.
- • Must have excellent follow-up and follow through skills.
